The Toombs County High School men’s golf team continued its solid early-season play on Saturday at the 26th Annual Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Bainbridge High School. Competing against a strong field, the Bulldogs posted a team score of 312, good enough for third place and marking their second consecutive thirdplace finish in the invitational.
Senior leadership helped pace the Bulldogs throughout the day. Vick Moore and Drew Woodruff led the way for Toombs County, each carding a 76 to anchor the team’s scoring effort.
The rest of the Bulldogs’ lineup also contributed to the strong team finish. Rhys Ward turned in a solid round of 77, while Noah Anken added an 83 and Gavin Ward finished with an 84 to round out the team score.
With the season still in its early stages, the Bulldogs continue to show promise as they build momentum heading into the heart of their schedule.
