strong start to the season with solid performances across sprint and relay events. Athletes such as Kayden Love, Zenobia Rollins, and J’Miyah Hunt contributed major points, including strong showings in the short sprints.

The Lady Indians’ depth across multiple events helped them secure the team championship and build early momentum for the season.

Carson and Lee WACO Relays Vidalia followed up its home meet success with another impressive showing at the Carson and Lee WACO Relays in Sandersville.

Both teams delivered dominant performances in the team standings. The Vidalia boys scored 201 points, comfortably winning the meet ahead of Baldwin High School and other competing programs.

The Lady Indians also captured the team title with 167.5 points, finishing ahead of Statesboro and Appling County.

The meet featured several strong individual and field event performances for Vidalia athletes. In the boys high jump, Kashun Coney cleared 6-4 to place third, while teammate Tremendous Troupe also scored points with a jump of 6-0. CJ Monroe continues to dominate in the discus with impressive throws.

Cash Driggers is nearing the school record as he won back to back victories in the 800 running under 2 minutes in both races and bringing home the high point award.

The Lady Indians added valuable points in the field events as well. Zenobia Rollins placed second in the high jump with a mark of 5-0, While Takaiyah Bacon swept the long jump and triple jump.

In the sprints, Kayden Love delivered a standout performance in the 100-meter dash, running 12.54 seconds, one of the top times in the region this season.

Building Momentum for the Season The two meet championships highlight the strength and depth of the Vidalia track and field program. From explosive sprint performances to consistent relay success and strong field event results, both the Indians and Lady Indians demonstrated their ability to compete at a high level.

With multiple athletes posting personal bests and contributing points across a wide range of events, the team continues to build momentum as the season progresses toward region competition and the postseason.

If this early stretch of the season is any indication, Vidalia’s track and field teams will remain strong contenders in upcoming meets throughout the spring.
