A TOTAL SACRIFICE

The chicken said to the hog, “ L e t ’ s prov ide our owner with ham and eggs for the rest of his life.” The old hog thought a minute and then said, “For you that would be a commitment, but for me it would be a total sacrifice.”

A lot of church folk do not want to commit and they do not want to sacrifice and certainly not a total sacrifice, but the bible says in Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service.”

Most folk would say, “That’s an unreasonable service,” but when you think about down through history how people have given their very lives in sacrifice to God and mankind. Then when you view the cross as Christ hung in shame for the sins of man then sacrifice is not too much to ask, even a total sacrifice if needs be. Can you say amen?
