Vikings Soccer Sweeps Road Matchups

The Treutlen County High School Vikings soccer teams delivered a flawless performance on the road this past week, winning all four of their contests against the Greene County Tigers on Tuesday and the Hawkinsville Red Devils on Friday.

Girls vs. Greene Co.

Starting the week against Greene County, the Lady Vikings secured a 2-0 shutout over the Lady Tigers, fueled by goals from Camdyn Brantley and Maya Brinson.

Boys vs. Greene Co.

The boys’ team matched that effort and scoreline, blanking the Tigers 2-0 behind goals from Christopher Meza-Avila and Joseph Meza-Avila. Girls vs. Hawkinsville

The momentum carried into Friday’s matchups at Hawkinsville. The Lady Vikings ran away with a dominant 5-1 victory over the Lady Red Devils, highlighted by a spectacular offensive performance from Maya Brinson, who scored all five goals for Treutlen. Boys vs. Hawkinsville In the boys' contest, Treutlen found the back of the net twice in the first half courtesy of Joseph Meza-Avila and Johnny Johnson. Hawkinsville managed one first-half goal, but a heavily contested, scoreless second half for both sides allowed the Vikings to hold on for the 2-1 win.

This week, Treutlen was at Wheeler County on Tuesday for a matchup that concluded after presstime. Both teams will be back in action on Friday when they travel to face the Dooly County Bobcats at 5:00 p.m.
