Eagles Face Tough Road Test
The Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles baseball team traveled to St. Simons Island last week for a challenging road matchup against the Frederica Academy Knights. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the Knights' offense proved too much to handle, resulting in an 11-0 defeat.
Frederica took control of the game immediately, putting up five runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Knights maintained that aggressive pace, driving in five more runs in the second inning to establish a commanding 10-0 lead. The Eagles battled through the third, but Frederica managed to close out the contest in the bottom of the fourth inning with one final run, sealing the victory via the run rule.
The Eagles are quickly shifting their focus to the rest of their schedule. The team was back on the road Tuesday after presstime to take on David Emanuel Academy. Fans can catch the Eagles in action again this Friday at 4:00 p.m. when they travel to face John Milledge Academy.
