Bulldogs Split Matches With Heritage

The Wheeler County High School Bulldogs soccer teams experienced a split decision on the pitch last Tuesday as they hosted the Eagles of Vidalia Heritage Academy, with the boys securing a commanding win and the girls falling short.

Girls vs. Heritage

In the girls' matchup, the Lady Eagles controlled the tempo and netted a pair of goals. The Heritage defense stood strong throughout the contest, keeping the Lady Bulldogs off the board completely and handing Wheeler County a 2-0 loss.

Boys vs. Heritage

The boys' game featured a dominant performance by the Wheeler Bulldogs, who cruised to an easy victory. The Bulldogs' offense exploded for six goals on the night. Paired with a defense that completely shut down the Eagles, Wheeler secured a decisive 6-0 shutout win.

The Bulldogs hosted Treutlen County this past Tuesday in a match that concluded after presstime. Both squads will be back on the pitch this Friday with a pair of 5:00 p.m. matchups. The Lady Bulldogs will travel to face Johnson County, while the boys will defend their home turf against Bleckley County.
