Vikings Soccer Splits With Brantley

The Treutlen County High School Vikings soccer teams saw a busy week on the pitch, starting with a home double-header against the Brantley County Herons last Tuesday.

Girls vs. Brantley Co.

The Lady Vikings secured a decisive 4-1 victory over the Lady Herons. Camdyn Brantley and Maya Brinson led the charge for Treutlen, netting two goals apiece to seal the win.

Boys vs. Brantley Co.

The Vikings boys' squad faced a tougher challenge against the Herons. Kavion Peeples and Leo Brinson each scored a goal, but Brantley County rolled to a 10-2 win over Treutlen.

Girls vs. Screven Co.

On Friday, the Lady Vikings traveled to face the Screven County Lady Gamecocks, falling behind 3-0 by halftime. Maya Brinson provided a second- half spark with a goal, but Screven added one more to hand Treutlen a 4-1 loss.

Boys vs. Portal

Also on Friday, the Treutlen boys traveled to take on the Portal Panthers. The Vikings dropped the road contest with a final score of 7-3.

The Vikings were back on the road against Greene County this Tuesday in a matchup that concluded after presstime. They will be back in action away at Hawkinsville, with kickoff slated for 5:00 p.m.
