MoCo Schools Open Kindergarten Registration

Montgomery County Schools will officially begin registering students for the 2026/2027 Montgomery County Elementary School Kindergarten Class, as registration appointments may begin being scheduled on Monday, March 2. Children must be at least 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026, to attend kindergarten. Only students who are not currently enrolled in Montgomery County Elementary School Pre-K or Montgomery County Headstart but plan to attend Montgomery County Elementary School for kindergarten must schedule a registration appointment by calling (912) 583-2279.

To enroll, several pieces of documentation are needed, such as:

• Certified copy of the child’s birth certificate

• The child’s social security card

• Proof of residency

• Certificate of Eye, Ear, and Dental Exam (Form 3300)

• Certificate of Immunization (From 3231) Pre-k and Headstart students are automatically registered for kindergarten, and the school will notify parents/guardians of any needed documents.
