Blake Tillery tops $3 million in bid for Lt. Governor
Tax- cutting conservative trounces his Republican opponents in recent fundraising reports
Conservative Republican Blake Tillery has emerged as the clear frontrunner for Lt. Governor with the latest fundraising data. Tillery raised more than $2.1 million during this most recent cycle, bringing his total raised to more than $3 million.
“We have worked hard and our conservative message has excited voters,” said Tillery. “Our plan to eliminate the state income tax, fight for Georgia values, protect our children’s future and keep good jobs for our neighbors makes sense to Georgians who work hard every day.”
Tillery leads his opponents with the most money raised, the most cash on hand and the lowest “burn rate” of any campaign for Lt. Governor. Campaign Manager Jade Morey said, “Leading all our opponents with over $2.6 million cash on hand, we will be able to get our conservative message to voters all across Georgia. With Blake’s financial support doubling his nearest competitors and quadrupling that of the others, the momentum is clearly on Blake’s side.”
In addition to the strongest fundraising showing of any candidate for LG, Tillery also has the endorsement of over 70 sheriffs and over 300 current and former elected officials. He is also the only candidate to be organized in all 159 counties.
“Being the leading fundraiser, the candidate with the most endorsements, and the candidate with the best message for Georgia makes Tillery the clear frontrunner,” said Morey.
