Vidalia Library Hosts Fun For All Ages in February

The Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library, located at 610 Jackson Street in Vidalia, is hosting numerous events and activities for patrons of all ages.
Kids can celebrate Valentine’s Day by making bracelets at the Library at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11.
Several patrons will make Valentine’s Day Gingerbread Houses at 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 12. This event requires registration; call the library to claim your spot.
On Friday, February 13, children ages birth to 5 years old will be welcomed to the library for fun at Wiggles and Giggles at 10:30 a.m., and teenagers will play Dungeons and Dragons (D & D) from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
“The Princess Bride” film will be shown for free at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 14.
The Library will be closed in acknowledgement of President’s Day on Monday, February 16.
On Tuesday, February 17, young children can come enjoy Story Time at the library at 11 a.m., while the kids Lego Club will meet at 4 p.m.
Kids will have a time of learning through Spark Time from 3:45-4:45 and adults will play Dungeons and Dragons (D & D) from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18.
Patrons of all ages will enjoy playing virtual and board games at 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 19.
On Friday, February 20, the Wiggles and Giggles group will meet again at 10:30 a.m., and patrons will eat sweets and show off their creativity at the Cookies and Canvas event at 4 p.m. Registration is required for this event; call the library to claim your spot.
Adults will have the opportunity to learn more about artificial intelligence (AI) and Genealogy during an event at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 21.
Individuals of all ages are invited to play Bingo at the Library at 4:30 p.m. and the Sweet Onion Book Club will meet at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 23, On Tuesday, February 24, will come together for Story Time at 11 a.m. and Lego Club at 4 p.m.
Patrons of all ages can enjoy a time of Coffee and Coloring at 10 a.m., and Coloring and Snacks at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25.
Individuals of all ages can work on their skills at the Chess Club meeting at 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 26.
Wiggles and Giggles will meet at 10:30 a.m. and teens will have the chance to show off their Pokemon knowledge at trivia from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 27.
The Library will show “Pokemon: Detective Pikachu” at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 28.
The library is located at 610 Jackson Street in Vidalia and open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday. The library is closed on Sunday. For more information, call (912) 537-9283.
