MoCo Library to Host Community Chili Cookoff

The Montgomery County Public Library is inviting citizens to test their culinary skills for the chance to earn bragging rights and a prize at a Chili Cookoff on Saturday, February 28.

At 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, families are invited to come out to see who earns the top spots at the cookoff, while kids enjoy activities at a craft station, draw with chalk on the sidewalk, and blow bubbles. Prizes will be awarded for the top three chili entries, and the community will come together for a fun event.

The event is free to participants and attendees. The library is located at 215 Railroad Avenue in Mount Vernon. To enter your chili in the cookoff, participants must preregister with the library. Registration may be completed online through the library’s Facebook page – “Montgomery County Public Library, Mt. Vernon, Georgia” – or by calling the library at (912) 583-2780.
