lead behind Rashad Brown's free-throw shooting and Bernard Brewton's inside scoring.

The Indians blew the game open with a 31-point third quarter explosion where Brewton caught fire from deep and Alton Boles relentlessly attacked the rim.

Savannah Country Day mounted a furious rally in the fourth to cut the lead to two, but Jerry Roundtree silenced the comeback with a dagger 3-pointer, and Brown hit four consecutive free throws in the final seconds to secure the win.

Girls vs. Swainsboro

Friday night featured the game of the week as the Lady Indians survived a second-half collapse to dominate Swainsboro 5851 in overtime.

Vidalia looked dominant early, strangling the Swainsboro offense to build a 27-14 halftime cushion behind strong shooting from Polke and Zachary.

However, the momentum shifted as Swainsboro chipped away at the lead, eventually tying the game at 46-46 to force overtime despite Ze Rollins hitting two huge shots late in regulation.

Vidalia regained its composure in the extra period, outscoring the Tigers 12-5. Wardlaw scored two quick buckets, followed by scores from Polke, Rollins, and Bacon, while the defense didn't allow a field goal until the game was already out of reach.

Boys vs. Swainsboro

The final game of the week was a defensive clinic, with the Indians taking a 43-30 victory over Swainsboro.

Points were at a premium early, with Vidalia leading just 9-6 after the first and 21-12 at the half thanks to a spark from Lyric McKennie. Swainsboro tried to rally in the third, but key 3-pointers from Brown and Brewton kept the Tigers at arm's length.

Vidalia put the game away at the free-throw line in the fourth, with Roundtree and Brown closing out the game to cap off a strong week. The Indians held Swainsboro to just 30 total points, marking their best defensive performance of the season.

The Lady Indians have improved their record to 12-6 overall, and they are 7-0 and in first place in the Region. The boys are 16-2 on the season, and they are also in first place in the Region with a record of 5-1.

This week both the boys and girls played on Tuesday against Savannah Christian after presstime. The Lady Indians will be back in action on Friday when they travel to face St. Vincent's at 6:00 p.m.
