Bre w t o n – Pa r k e r Christian University Lady Barons fell behind early and could not recover from a difficult shooting night, dropping a 70-46 decision to Faulkner University Eagles (Ala.) on Thursday evening at Tine Davis Gymnasium.

The Barons struggled early in the game, missing shots. Scoring only eight points in the opening quarter and following it up with five in the second, the Lady Barons found themselves in a massive deficit going into the half, down 21 points.

Bre w t o n – Pa r k e r struggled to find rhythm from the field throughout the night, finishing 14 of 71 overall (19.7 percent) and 5 of 39 (12.8 percent) from 3-point range. Despite the shooting woes, the Barons continued to battle on the glass and stayed active defensively, collecting 51 rebounds, including 19 on the offensive end, along with eight steals and two blocks. The effort on the boards helped Brewton-Parker generate second-chance opportunities, even as shots continued to rim out.

Jasmine Leynard led the way for Brewton-Parker with a team-high 14 points. She added five rebounds and three steals, providing a steady presence on both ends and sparking the Barons’ most productive stretch in the fourth quarter, when the offense finally gained some traction with 22 points.

Head Coach Steve Edwards reflected on the loss, saying, “Our group played hard today, but we couldn’t make a basket. We were outclassed by a really talented Faulkner group. We will learn, and we will get better.” vs. Mobile

Bre w t o n – Pa r k e r Christian University Lady Barons dropped a game to Mobile on Saturday afternoon at Pharr Gym, as a strong first quarter and efficient free-throw shooting from the Rams proved decisive. Mobile turned a 2-0 deficit into an early advantage when Deja Pryor knocked down a 3-pointer less than two minutes into the first quarter, then continued to build separation. The Rams outscored Brewton-Parker 22-13 in the opening 10 minutes, using pressure defense and timely outside shooting to keep the Lady Barons off balance.

Brewton-Parker settled in on defense in the second, holding Mobile to 11 points, but the Rams still maintained control. Shamiaha Webb cut the deficit to 22-15 with a strong drive and finish at the 9:14 mark, only for Pryor to answer again from long range just before halftime, stretching the lead back to double digits at 33-23. The Lady Barons went into the break chasing the game despite improved execution, hampered by missed free throws.

Chasity Degale led the Lady Barons with 15 points on efficient 4-for-5 shooting, including two 3-pointers, and went 5-for-10 at the line. Webb added 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds in 26 minutes, providing consistent production on both ends.

Head Coach Steve Edwards reflected on the team's performance following the game, saying, 'We had every opportunity to take control of the game today. There were plays in the second half that we have to finish. Mobile made plays down the stretch, and we didn't. Our effort and energy is solid, but we have to make the simple plays when it matters most.'

The Lady Barons will look to regroup before heading out on another conference road trip next week. The Lady Barons' next opponent will be taking on the Crusaders of William Carey University (Miss.) on January 22, 2026, in Hattiesburg, Miss.
