MCBOE Shares 2026 Meeting Schedule

Another year means a new schedule of meetings for the Montgomery County Board of Education, as they seek to make decisions to help the district’s students receive the best possible education and opportunities. In preparation of this new year, the Board has shared its scheduled meeting and work session dates for the entire year.

The Board will meet for work sessions to discuss upcoming decisions, proposals, and statuses of various aspects of the district at 5 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. These work sessions are slated for January 15, February 12, March 12, April 16, May 14, June 11, July 16, August 13, September 17, October 15, November 12, and December 17.

The Board’s regular monthly meetings will follow at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of each month, except when holidays cause the dates to be shifted to the third Tuesday of each month. January and February are the only months slated to have altered meeting dates, as the January meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 20, because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday occurring on January 19, and the February meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 17, because of the President’s Day holiday on February 16.

Other scheduled meeting dates are March 16, April 20, May 18, June 15, July 20, August 17, September 21, October 19, November 16, and December 21.

Meetings will be held in the Montgomery County Board of Education Board Room, located at 703 Dobbins Street in Mount Vernon.
