During the city of Vidalia Employee Christmas Luncheon, several Vidalia police officers were recognized for their years of dedicated service to the Department.

Vidalia Mayor Doug Roper presented each honoree with a plaque commending the officer for their years of service to the Department. Officers honored were Lieutenant Scott Howard – 5-year service award; Lieutenant Christopher Morgan and Captain John Humphrey – 10-year service award; Corporal Dwayne Carpenter – 20-year service award; Captain Garry Colson – 25-year service award; and Communications Officer, Chief Court Clerk, Terminal Agency Coordinator, and Records and Evidence Units Overseer Dewey Anderson – 34-year service award.

“These milestones reflect a continued commitment to professionalism, integrity, and service to our community,” Vidalia Police Chief Rob Shore remarked. “We are grateful for their loyalty, hard work, and the example they set each day in serving and protecting the citizens of Vidalia.”
