Sweet Onion Smash Pickleball Registration Open
The rapid growth of pickleball continues to make waves in Toombs County as Southern Pickleball announces the upcoming 'Sweet Onion Smash 2026.' The tournament is set to take over the Vidalia Pickleball Courts at 102 Stockyard Rd later this month, promising a full weekend of competition for local and visiting paddlers.
The action begins on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, featuring Men’s and Women’s Doubles brackets. The tournament concludes on Sunday, Feb. 1, with the Mixed Doubles competition.
Organizers are emphasizing inclusivity for this event, welcoming players of all ages and skill levels. Competition will be divided by skill rating, ranging from 2.5 (beginners) to 4.5+ (advanced). Additionally, age brackets will be formed following registration to ensure competitive balance, with divisions planned for ages 15+, 35+, 50+, 60+, and 70+.
