McDonald’s Parking Lot Shooter Indicted

A teenager accused of shooting a teenager in the leg at the McDonald’s in Vidalia has officially been indicted by the Toombs County Grand Jury.

On Monday, November 24, the Toombs County Grand Jury returned 19 true bills of indictment to the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, including an indictment on a single aggravated assault charge for Antoreyun Tosh Myre McClelland.

McClelland is accused of shooting Kyree Williams in the leg during an incident on November 26, 2024.

On the day of the shooting, officers were dispatched to McDonald’s at 7:48 p.m. on November 26 in reports of shots fired at the restaurant. While the police probed the scene, officers were notified that a man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound was being treated at the Memorial Health Meadows Hospital Emergency Room. This patient – Kyree Williams, 21, of Vidalia – was determined to be the victim.

Investigators were able to identify the suspect – 17-year-old Antoreyun McClelland — while still at the crime scene, and quickly took him into custody at the Vidalia Police Department, where he was temporarily held for questioning. He was later arrested for aggravated assault and transported to the Toombs County Detention Center.

McClelland will now begin the process of entering a formal plea to the court to determine his next steps in the judicial process.

Other individuals indicted were: • Joe Lewis Gillis, Jr. – possession of methamphetamine; aggravated assault; possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon • Leroy Rogers – ag gravated assault; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon • Jahmil Alshabazz Stokes – possession of marijuana (felony); possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony • Brendan Devonte Stokes – possession of marijuana (felony); possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony • Noah Higginbotham – inflicting pain on an elderly person • Jonathan Michael Gillis – aggravated assault • Bobby Jim Haynes – aggravated assault (two counts) • Adriarna Lydia Noury – aggravated assault • MaGhew Frederick Jones – aggravated child molestation (two counts); incest; child molestation (three counts) • Tyrone Laki McCa rgo – aggravated assault

• Justin Quatez Smith – possession of bromazolam; possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony • Christopher Dan iel Bowen – possession of methamphetamine • Timothy Antonio Forrest – possession of cocaine • Frederick M. Perry – possession of methamphetamine; possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony • David Jarrel Collins and Alex Blaine Johnson – criminal damage to property in the second degree; criminal attempt to commit theft by taking • Joshua Louie Moye – aggravated sexual battery; child molestation (four counts) • Megan Gail Fowler – cruelty to children in the second degree These individuals will now enter their official plea to the court to determine whether they will continue on to trial or sentencing.
