Governor Brian Kemp issued a state proclamation designating Sunday, November 2, Retired Educators Day in Georgia. Local mayors signed a similar proclamation honoring the work of local chapters of the Georgia Retired Educators Association (GREA). The annual celebration not only thanks former educators, but it also brings awareness to the work still being done by many. Members of the Toombs County Retired Educators Association (TCREA) remain steadfast in their interest and efforts in promoting and supporting education, as well as the promise and potential of the children in Toombs County. Mayor Willis NeSmith signed a proclamation for TCREA.
