The Vidalia Lions Club recently donated to the Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library to help support the services and programs that the library offers to the community.
During the Club’s meeting on Monday, November 10, the Civic Organization presented a check for $5,000 to Library Manager Hannah Parker to help the library continue to provide these resources and opportunities to community members, as the members emphasized that they believe the library is a value asset within the community.
This donation is just one of many ways which the Club helps to promote community involvement and welfare, as they also organize and execute the Vidalia Onion Festival Arts & Crafts Festival, and provide glasses and eye exams at no cost to those in need within the community.
