Announcement of Mark Butler’s Presidency

The Georgia Jewelers Association has officially announced Mark Butler of Vidalia, GA, as its 71st President. Mark represents the 3rd generation of jewelry store owners, following his parents and maternal grandparents. Alby Gay and his wife Glenrose opened Gay Jewelers in Vidalia on August 8, 1955. Their work ethic and devotion to customer service set the bar high for those following in their footsteps. In 1995. Earl & Kathy Butler took over ownership and moved the business into a new century by renaming the business K E Butler & Company Jewelers. Growing up surrounded by the legacy of two generations of small business owners, Mark developed a deep appreciation for the values and hard work that define the Georgia Jewelers Association. Earl previously served as President of the Georgia Jewelers Association from 1998 to 2000.
