BPCU Men Wrap Up Season

Brewton-Parker Christian University's men's soccer team faced off with the Eagles of Faulkner University and then lost to Point University's Skyhawks. vs. Faulkner

On October 16, the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons men's soccer team fell to Faulkner Eagles 3-1 in a tough conference match in Mount Vernon, Ga. Despite a strong defensive effort, the Barons couldn't secure a win, leaving their season record at 1-13-0 and their conference record at 0-8-0.

The first half of the game saw Faulkner taking the lead, finishing the half at 1-0. The Barons' goalkeeper, Diego Alejandro Montes Carrera, guarded the net and fought valiantly against the Eagles. In the second half, Brewton-Parker's Lazar Milosavljevic managed to score a goal to cut the lead to two. Unfortunately, Faulkner managed to stave off any of the Baron's attempts to cut the lead further. vs. Point

In a thrilling college soccer showdown, the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons faced a narrow defeat against the Point University Skyhawks at Mount Vernon on October 18. The intense conference game concluded with a 4-3 victory for the Skyhawks, overturning a halftime lead held by the Barons.

The first half displayed a dominant performance from the Brewton-Parker Barons, taking a 3-1 lead against their opponents. Scoring for the Barons were Danny Guerra, Lazar Milosavljevic, and Lucca Lagana, with Milosavljevic and Ilyas Nazih providing key assists. The Barons' goalkeeper, Diego Alejandro Montes Carrera, did his best to keep the Skyhawks off the board, only conceding one in the first half.

As the second half progressed, the Skyhawks scored and quickly stole the momentum. The Skyhawks staged a remarkable comeback, initiated by goals from Joao Sousa and Tomas Calado, turning the tide of the match. The decisive moment came when Amine Benrhazi netted the game-winning goal. His strike, assisted by Moritz Dalpiaz, sealed the win for Point University after trailing in the first half.

The final scoreline ended at Point 4, Brewton-Parker 3, marking the end of a difficult season. The Barons will head into the offseason looking to take lessons from this season and grow as a program.
