Lady Barons Drop 2 Matches

The Brewton-Parker Christian University Lady Barons played two soccer matches last week. The Lady Barons took on Dalton State College and Life University, falling in both matches. vs. Dalton State
In a challenging conference game on October 10, the Brewton-Parker Barons women's soccer team faced a tough match against Dalton State College Roadrunners at Dalton Stadium. Despite a strong attempt from the Barons, Dalton State controlled the game from start to finish, leading to a 4-0 final score for the Roadrunners.
The first half saw the Roadrunners establish dominance early, with Aoife Saunders scoring the first goal, setting the pace. By halftime, the Roadrunners had taken their lead to 2-0, despite the Barons' efforts on defense.
The second half continued in a similar vein, with Dalton State maintaining control of the game's pace. Additional goals by Tania Dominguez and Lexi Lyon sealed the game, expanding their lead to a final score of 4-0 and giving the Barons another conference loss. vs. Life
The Brewton-Parker Christian University Women's Soccer team faced a challenging conference game on October 12, 2025, against the Life University Running Eagles in Marietta, Ga. The Barons struggled to counter Life's dominating offense throughout the match, ultimately resulting in a 5-0 defeat.
The game started troublesome for the Barons as Life's Helen Gutierrez netted the first goal at 6:09, netting an early lead for the Running Eagles. The Running Eagles kept the pressure up and carried a 4-0 lead into the half.
The Barons' goalie, Angel Camacho, faced a relentless offense and, despite the team's best efforts, was unable to stop the Running Eagles. The Barons were unable to do anything on offense as the Running Eagles' defense completely shut them out.
Looking forward, the Brewton-Parker Barons are set to host Faulkner University at Mount Vernon, Ga, on October 16. They aim to improve their current season record of 3-9, with a conference record of 1-6-0.
