The first-inning onslaught saw nearly the entire lineup contribute. Key hits included Kaylyn Kight’s double, which drove in 2 runs, and a run-scoring single from Kenley Kight. Power was on full display as Maya Brinson, Ella Roberson, and Ruthie Blair all connected for extra-base hits— a double, a double, and a triple, respectively—with Cloey Hutcheson adding to the rally with 2 separate runscoring singles in the frame.
Treutlen County didn't slow down in the second, adding 5 more runs, highlighted by a 2-run single from Ella Roberson and another 2-run single by Ruthie Blair. Though the Lady War Eagles found a spark in the bottom of the second, pushing 6 runs across the plate, the Vikings’ lead was too great to overcome.
A single by Jayden Rogers in the third extended the lead, helping to secure the 18-6 victory for the Lady Vikings, closing out an impressive offensive performance against the Lady War
Eagles.

This Monday after presstime the Lady Vikings kicked off the postseason with a best-of-three series with Trion High's Lady Bulldogs in the first round of the GHSA State Playoffs. They had a double header scheduled for Monday, and if necessary they played a third game on Tuesday.
If Treutlen won that series, they will play next Monday and Tuesday against the winner of the Lincoln County and Pelham series.
