J.D. Dickerson Primary School recently wrapped up a their celebration in honor of Georgia Pre-K Week. From fun-filled activities to heartwarming moments, the Pre-K students and teachers made lasting memories.
One of the highlights of the week was a delicious Ice Cream Sundae Day, made possible by the PTO. The kids created their sweet treats and shared some extra smiles with their classmates.
A Pete the Cat Read Aloud kept the students engaged and excited about reading. Huge thanks go out to Southern Nuclear, who helped spread joy by providing sunglasses and reading sessions for the Pre-K kids.
The students also enjoyed a field trip to the Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library in Vidalia. Each student received a copy of Malcolm Mitchell’s book, Every Amazing Story, to take home — a wonderful way to continue the love of reading beyond the classroom.
J.D. Dickerson teachers and staff said, “Thank you to everyone who helped make Georgia Pre-K Week such a memorable experience for our students. From our dedicated teachers and staff to our generous community partners, this week reminded us all why early learning is so important— and so much fun!”
