Rick Sasser and his 1936 Auburn Boatail Speedster Roadster took home the top prize of Best in Show at the annual Real Squeal BBQ & Music Festival Squealin’ Car Show on Saturday, October 4.

This year’s car show had dozens of car enthusiasts entering their prized ride for a chance at bragging rights and a trophy, as the Lyons First Baptist Church parking lot was filled with classic cars and treasured newer models.

The awards were as follows: • Best Survivor – Adam Larisley and his 1966 Ford F-100 • Best Hot Rod – Je- Wallace and his 1954 Ford Custom Vicky • Best 1987 & Earlier Truck – Jerome Dyal and his 1965 Chevrolet C-10 • Best 1988 & Newer Truck – Jose Ramos and his 2006 Chevrolet Silverado • Best 1973-2000 Car

– Perry Brown and his 1979 Chevrolet Corvette • Best 1972 & Earlier Car – Casey Edwards and his 1951 Chevrolet Bel Air • Best 2000 & Newer Vehicle – Jamie Rojo and his 2022 Ford F-150 • Best Patina – Alan Stalvey and his 1967 GMC C1500 • Best Import – Rob ert Chalkley and his 2017 Toyota 86 • Best Motorcycle – Tim Powell and his 2004

Harley Softail Deuce • Best Oldsmobile – Clark Stewart and his 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Vert • People's Choice – Darrell Copeland and his 1973 VW • Squealer's Choice – Alan Stalvey and his 1967 GMC C1500 The show also named the Top 20 cars in the show, which included: Michael Howard and his 1977 Chevrolet Corvette; Terry Gofforth and his 2005 Ford Mustang GT; Mick McClain and his 1937 Ford Coupe; Garry Eunice and his 1986 Chevrolet C10; Luis Arreguin and his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado; Vikter Sasser and his 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray; Dwayne and Charlene Carter and their 1951 Chevrolet 3100 Truck; Chris Byrd and his 2019 Lexus RCF; James Frank and his 1970 Plymouth Duster; David Ellington and his 1970 Chevrolet El Camino; Sherrie Harville and his 1972 Nova; Robert Turner and his 1995 C-10 Silverado; George Brinson Jr. and his 1963 Ford Falcon; Chris Turner and his 1985 Chevrolet C-10; Judy McManus and her 1940 Modified Streetrod Ford 2-Door Sedan; Billy Harville and his 1972 Dodge Challenger; Willard Thomas and his 1971 Dodge Charger 500; Freddie Bates and his 2023 Ford Mustang GT; Jordan Giles and his 2001 Chevrolet Camaro SS; and Brian Pearcey and his 1973 Chevrolet Corvette.

In addition to the car show, several vehicles squealed in to the annual Squeal In, Squeal Out event – which is held in conjunction with the annual Real Squeal BBQ & Music Festival Street Dance – to show off their rides and fellowship with other car enthusiasts.
