Faith & Blue To Unite Community on Oct. 6

On Monday, October 6, the Lyons and Vidalia Police Departments are coming together to host the annual Faith & Blue event at 6:30 p.m. at Ronnie A. Dixon City Park Faith & Blue is an annual nationally celebrated event created in 2020 to improve the bonds between law enforcement officials and the community through a combined worship event. These tighter bonds help to create safer and more secure neighborhoods, as every individual understands the importance of looking out for each other, and trust is deepened in each other.

This year, Colleen McKenna and Jonathan Taylor will perform at the event, leading the audience in a unified worship service. Local law enforcement officers will speak, as they address the audience as a group and mingle with citizens individually.

Local organizers described the time to be an “evening of faith, unity, and fellowship,” as they invited all members of the public to join.
