Trippe XC Runs 2 Races

The JR Trippe Middle School Cross Country teams ran two meets last week and continued to build on a strong season. Despite missing a few runners this week, the Chiefs are looking fit and primed for the Region Meet on October 1.
Bulldog Invitational
At the Bulldog Invitational on Thursday, September 18, all of the Chiefs took advantage of their hard training, great weather, and a fast course by setting new personal records.
Boys
The Boys team was led by Champ Sharpton in 10th place, Peyton Coursey in 13th place, and Majid Nail Shaibi in 17th. Others runners coming in strong were Gabe Renteria, Ben Ramsey, Michael Morgan, Kade Swancey.
Girls
The ladies were led by Race Champion, Ginny Meredith, with a time of 12:14 followed by Zoey Achenbach, Janie Beck, and Abigail Vassey.
Release The Hounds
The Chiefs quickly turned around and headed to the Release the Hounds Invitational in Jones County on Saturday, September 20. After a long wait in the sun Saturday morning, Chiefs Cross Country persevered through a tough course. Champ Sharpton took 3rd and Majid Nail Shaibi placed 11th for their best finishes of the season. Gabe Renteria, Ben Ramsey, Michael Morgan, Kade Swancey, Gunner Teston, Zoey Achenbach, Janie Beck, and Abigail Vassey all continued to ‘rep the V’ with pride and grit.
