Scarecrows ‘Round Downtown Sign-Ups Due By September 29

The annual Downtown Vidalia Association Scarecrows ‘Round Downtown is currently accepting applications for businesses, groups, schools, families, and individuals to participate in the decorating competition.

Scarecrows ‘Round Downtown is an annual competition where many groups come together to decorate the downtown area with scarecrows. Often, these decorations get creative, as businesses use the decorations to reflect their services and products, and groups and schools center their creations around unique themes.

Cash prizes are awarded for the winning scarecrow designs in each of the four categories: business, family/individual, group, and school.

All applications are due by September 29. Applicants will set up their displays in the assigned areas between October 1 and October 10. Scarecrows must be set up for judging by October 11.
