Lady Indians Split Matches with Dublin and Northside

The Vidalia High School Lady Indians volleyball team earned a win over Dublin before falling to Northside Warner Robins last Thursday in Dublin. vs. Dublin Against Dublin, the Lady Indians came out strong, winning in two straight sets behind aggressive serving and steady defense. As a team, Vidalia tallied 15 aces, with Jada Bates leading the way with 5 and Laina Williams adding 4. On offense, T'Kyeriah Kennedy recorded 4 kills while Rori Johnson contributed 2. Defensively, Bates collected 8 digs, and Johnson added 5 to secure the sweep. vs. Northside

In the second matchup, Vidalia faced a skilled Northside Warner Robins squad, falling in two sets despite pushing hard in the second set. The Lady Indians managed 3 aces, 2 of which came from Bates. At the net, the team recorded 12 kills, led by Johnson with 5 and Carayia Mincey with 3. Defensively, Vidalia had 3 team blocks, with Bates contributing 2, while in the back row Johnson posted 8 digs and Auri Harris added 6.

The Lady Indians showed grit in both matches, using strong serving and defensive play to stay competitive as they continue their season.

This week VHS was at Pierce County on Monday to take on Pierce and Southeast Bulloch, and on Tuesday there were at home against Savannah High and Toombs County; all matches after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday at home against Faith Baptist Christian Academy and Appling County beginning at 5:00 p.m.
