Heritage Drops Two Games

The Vidalia Heritage Academy Lady Eagles softball team struggled last week, falling to both Twiggs Academy and David Emanuel Academy. vs. Twiggs

On Monday, the Lady Eagles fell to Twiggs Academy with a final score of 8-3. Twiggs Academy jumped out to an early lead in the first inning with four runs and then added another in the top of the second inning to take a 5-0 lead. Twiggs plated three more runs in the top of the fifth inning. VHA did get a run in the bottom of the fifth, and then scored two more in the seventh inning, but it was not enough as Twiggs took the win, 8-3. vs. DEA

The team faced a tough outing on Thursday, losing to David Emanuel Academy with a score of 16-0. David Emanuel Academy took a commanding lead early on, scoring seven runs in the first inning. They added six more in the second inning and three in the third on the way to the victory.

This week VHA was at Twiggs Academy on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday with a double header against First Preparatory Christian Academy starting at 4:30 p.m. in Hinesville.
