The Forge Recovery Center Board of Directors has announced that the facility is under new leadership.
After years of service, Craig George has stepped down as Forge’s Executive Director. The Board of Directors extended their gratitude for his contributions in helping establish Forge as one of Georgia’s most respected addiction recovery programs.
Following George’s resignation, the Forge Board of Directors announced that longtime Forge Assistant Director Todd Hamm will take the reins of leadership for the program.
At Forge, the mission has always been about restoration and freedom. The true story of Forge is found in the men whose lives are being rebuilt every day — men who come to us broken and leave as fathers, husbands, workers, and leaders who strengthen families, churches, and communities. What began as a local vision has grown into a movement of hope and transformation throughout Toombs County and beyond.
As we enter this new season, the Board is proud to introduce Todd Hamm as the new Director of Forge Recovery Center. Todd’s own journey and his deep commitment to this community uniquely equip him to guide Forge into its future. His leadership is marked by resilience, humility, and vision — qualities that will ensure Forge continues to change lives and expand its impact.
Under Hamm’s direction, Forge will remain a place where recovery is more than survival — it is about building a life of freedom, hope, and purpose. His vision includes strengthening leadership development within the program, expanding community partnerships, and ensuring that Forge continues to be a model of transformation across the state of Georgia.
This transition represents more than a change in leadership — it is a continuation of the process that defines Forge Recovery Center: transformation through fire, strength through unity, and purpose through service.
The Board of Directors affirms its full confidence in Todd Hamm and looks forward with hope, knowing that the fire still burns, the anvil still rings, and the work of transformation continues.
