As coaches and athletes embark on the 2025-2026 school year, many are prayerfully anticipating reconnecting with friends, classmates and teammates. For many students, connecting with their peers sparks excitement for the new school year, as cultivating healthy relationships with fellow believers is essential for a lasting walk with Christ.

This school year, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA, www.fca.org) is committed to serving coaches and athletes with a Christ-centered environment that enables them to foster meaningful relationships — with one another and with the Lord. FCA offers gatherings called Huddles, as well as numerous efforts toward team unity, such as early morning Bible studies and larger, campus- wide events that sincerely share faith and fellowship.

“With the commencement of a new school year, FCA is eager for coaches and athletes to experience a community of fellowship, Bible reading and discipleship through Huddles,” said Josh Gilreath, FCA Chief Operations Officer. “There is no better time than the start of a new season to build a strong foundation in Christ. Our hope is that by being a part of a Huddle, coaches and athletes will develop a lasting relationship with Jesus that is shared with others as they become disciplemakers.”

Huddles are a key component of FCA’s mission to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. In over 90 countries, FCA’s more than 20,000 Huddles are the ministry’s proverbial weight room. Huddles bring coaches and athletes together to study the Bible and hold each other accountable to grow spiritually, just as teams encourage players to grow mentally and physically.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ vision is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Its mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. FCA’s guiding values are integrity, serving, teamwork and excellence.

Since 1954, FCA has used the powerful medium of sports and building relationships to reach the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is cultivating Christian principles by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same so that lives are changed for current and future generations.
