BPCU Runs In North Georgia

Bre w t o n – Pa r k e r Christian University saw the men's and women's Cross Country teams compete at the University of North Georgia XC Invitational on September 12, 2025. The Barons men's team placed seventh out of 15 teams in the race, and the women's team was short of members and only had four runners. Without a full complement, the women's runners ran for PR's and did not earn a team score.

Men

The Barons men's team was led by Samuel Skinner, a true Freshman, finishing in 39th place with an average mile of 5:55.8 and a total time of 29:28.6 in the 5k race. Eric Smith and Jonah Galli finished 43rd and 44th, respectively, coming in just 15 seconds apart from each other. Stephen Sirmans, another true Freshman, placed 50th overall with a time of 30:31.6, just 15 seconds behind Galli. The Barons' fifth timed runner came in at 59th with a time of 31:22.3 for the sophomore Zamarvian Green, giving a team score of 30:19 for the 5k race.

Women

The Women's team saw runner Lillie Brown, a true Freshman, come in 57th with a time of 21:51. Teammates RaaShonda Khalil and Reese Bryant followed with times of 26:52.4 and 27:07.8 before the final member, Caryn Cummings, completed the race with a time of 30:15.8.

Barons Head Coach James Frank shared his thoughts on the team's performance, 'All BPCU runners gave a great effort! I am proud of their progress. We will be at home next meet and should have a scoring Women's team.' The Barons are set to host the BPCU Invitational on Friday, September 26, which should feature several other schools competing.
