In a tough regularseason soccer clash, the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons fell to the visiting #17 Keiser Skyhawks with a decisive 6-0 final on September 13, 2025, at their home venue in Mount Vernon.
The match opened with a challenging pace set by Keiser, as Mikael Baisotti scored the first goal, setting a tone for the game. Successive goals from Kaiser players, including Keanu Does, Manex Landa, Caio Veronez, and a double by Eric Bancel, left the Barons facing an uphill battle. Despite the best efforts of goalie Diego Alejandro Montes Carrera, the Barons struggled to turn the tide. The Barons entered the break trailing by three. Throughout the game, Keiser continued to dominate, rounding up their score to six by the final whistle.
Head Coach Bob Neumann shared his thoughts on the match. 'We're struggling to put together 90 minutes right now. Showing some really bright flashes but also some really poor moments over the course of the game. Against top teams, like Keiser, they will take advantage of those poorer moments. We're heading into the conference campaign, and so we must get some injured guys back and start to turn our performances around.'
Looking ahead, the Brewton-Parker Barons aim to regroup and focus on their next challenge. Their upcoming game will take place against Blue Mountain University on September 18, 2025, at Blue Mountain, Miss. The Barons currently hold a season record of 1-4-0, looking to bounce back and get healthy as conference play gets ready to start.
