In a joint ceremony, Southeastern Technical College (STC) Department of Nursing pinned the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Bridge Pathway Option graduates from the Swainsboro Campus and the Practical Nursing (PN) Vidalia Campus graduates on August 5, 2025, in Vidalia’s Toombs Auditorium.
Southeastern Technical College faculty and staff honored the accomplishments of the graduates before an assembled crowd of friends and family. The ceremony recognized the important contribution of friends and family supporting these students throughout their education.

“The pinning ceremony marks a significant milestone in the journey of these remarkable individuals who have dedicated themselves to the practice of nursing. The pin the graduates receive not only represents the hard work and knowledge they've acquired, but also their commitment to the values that define the profession — compassion, integrity, and a deep respect for the dignity of those they care for. We are so proud of what they have accomplished and excited for the difference they will make in the lives of their patients and our communities. As these graduates embark on the next chapter of their professional journey, I urge them to remain steadfast in their commitment to lifelong learning, to embrace every opportunity for growth, and to uphold the highest standards of care and compassion,” said Dana Roessler, Dean of Health Science.
In nursing school tradition, pins were placed on each student and the class recited the nurse’s pledge of service – signifying their entrance into their new ranks.
