Community Food Distribution in MoCo on September 11

Free frozen meats, fresh vegetables, and dry goods will be given out to those in need in Montgomery County from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, located at 120 McGregor Street in Mount Vernon, on Thursday, June 12.

This community food pantry was formed through a partnership between the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church and Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. The food distributed by the pantry is provided through donation and provisions from the United States Department of Agriculture.

Households struggling with food insecurity are welcomed to take advantage of this giveaway, which will occur regardless if it rains or not. For more information, call (912) 583-2270.
