The Brewton-Parker Barons showcased their skills at a recent golf exhibition held on August 27, 2025, at the scenic Apple Mountain Golf Course in Clarkesville, Georgia. The event, featuring a solo play format, provided a platform for the players to display their prowess in a non-competitive setting.
The exhibition provided an opportunity for the players to enhance their skills and cohesion as a team, set against the serene backdrop of the Apple Mountain Golf Course. The solo play format allowed each Baron to focus on personal technique and consistency, essential aspects of golf.
This exhibition not only served as a practice session but also as a strategic preparation for the upcoming intercollegiate season, where the Barons aim to leverage their refined skills against competitors. The Brewton-Parker Christian University continues to support and develop its golf team, emphasizing the importance of both individual skill and team strategy.
Head Coach Mark Davidson shared his thoughts on his team's performance. 'I was very pleased with how our team performed. Freshman Will McNeely had an impressive debut in his first collegiate tournament, finishing just one over par.
Junior Brinson Burdette stepped up as a team leader. He showed consistency and strength throughout the day, finishing even par and representing BPCU with excellence.
I'm also proud of the strong efforts from Grant Reynolds, James Dugan, Brady Nelson, Jesper Larsson, Trenton Jenkins, and Alex Norfleet, who continue to grow and represent BPCU with determination and sportsmanship.'
The Barons aim to carry their experience from this exhibition into their next event, scheduled for September 8th and 9th at the Coastal Fall Invitational at the majestic Sanctuary Golf Course in Brunswick, GA.
