In a nail-biting game at Harris Athletic Complex, Cleveland, Ga., the Brewton-Parker Christian University volleyball team faced a challenging opposition in the Truett McConnell University Bears on August 30, 2025. The match, part of a regular-season tournament, concluded with a narrow defeat for the Barons as they lost 2-3 in a five-set thriller.

The match started with the Barons falling behind early, losing the first two sets 20-25 and 23-25. Despite the setbacks, the Barons demonstrated resilience and tactical prowess by securing the next two sets, 2522 and 25-21, which pushed the match to a decisive fifth set. However, the Bears managed to regain their composure and captured the final set, 8-15, sealing their victory. Throughout the match, several Barons players displayed standout performances. We're excited to get back in the gym on Monday and start getting better,' The Barons, currently holding a record of 1-3 for the season, look to bounce back in their next game against the University of Mobile, scheduled on September 5, 2025, at Gillis Gymnasium, Mount Vernon, Ga.
