The Toombs County High School Bulldogs cross country team launched their new season with a strong showing at the Peach State Preview on Saturday, August 16, at Jeff Davis High School. The Bulldogs demonstrated impressive form, with several runners achieving new career personal records (PRs).

The team's success was highlighted by three top-10 finishes across different divisions.

In the varsity boys' race, Juan Luna led the charge for the Bulldogs, securing a 6th place overall finish with a time of 17:19. His performance set a high standard for the team's varsity group.

The younger runners also made their mark. Gustavo Valenti finished strong in the boys' middle school (MS) race, earning 6th place overall with a time of 13:15. On the girls' side, Briley Martin had a standout race, placing 3rd overall in the girls' middle school (MS) race with a time of 14:20.

The solid performances at the season's first event suggest a promising season ahead for the Toombs County Bulldogs.
