Hart Named STC Dean of General Education

Southeastern Technical College (STC) has named longtime professor Dr. Bee Hart the new Dean of General Education.

Hart has been an instructor at the college for over 22 years, as he has taught math, economics, and dual enrollment courses at high schools in the region. The Toombs County native has deep ties to the community, and has committed himself to ensuring that all students are able to be successful, as he continues to help grow and improve the college’s general education programs. ““Having been a part of Southeastern Technical College for over 22 years now, I am excited to continue serving our students, faculty, and other community members in this new role,” emphasized Hart. “It brings me great joy to see our students attain skills that benefit not only themselves but also our local communities. I have witnessed firsthand how transformative education can be for people, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work with a group of people who are committed to helping students reach the goals they set for themselves. Our faculty and staff are truly among the very best.”

In his new role, Hart will now oversee all general education and learning support instruction, assist with program-related accreditation, manage instructional resources, and work alongside fellow deans and Vice President of Academic Affairs Teresa Coleman to ensure instructional quality and alignment across all departments.
