Toombs County Schools Announces Return of Summer Meal Program

Toombs County Schools has announced the return of their Summer Meal Program, which provides free meals to children and teens while school is out for the summer.

The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is administered by state and local agencies. All children and teens, ages 18 and under, are eligible to receive free meals through the program, regardless of income or household size. No application or registration for the program is required.

All meals are served at Toombs County High School, located at 500 Bulldog Drive in Lyons. Meals are served Tuesday through Thursday from now until June 26, and on July 7-10. Meals will be served on Monday through Thursday on July 21-30. Breakfast is served from 7:45 a.m. until 8:15 a.m., and lunch is served from 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
