2025 GLOBAL 6K FOR WATER – Six kilometers (3.7 miles) is the average round trip distance a person in the developing world must walk to find water to drink. In this yearly event, volunteers get together and symbolically walk that distance to raise money for World Vision, a Christian global humanitarian provider of clean water in the developing world. Every day nearly 4,000 people, many children under 5, die from diseases related to lack of safe water, sanitation, and hygiene. Since 2011, World Vision has helped establish lasting access to clean water for millions of people, all with support through programs like the Global 6K for Water.
