Kiwanis Club Announces Scholarship Recipients

The Kiwanis Club of Vidalia has announced 8 students who are receiving scholarships to help them fund their postsecondary education.

Each year, the Kiwanis Club of Vidalia offers several scholarships for students graduating from Montgomery County High School, Robert Toombs Christian Academy, Toombs County High School, Vidalia Heritage Academy, and Vidalia High School to help them in their efforts to obtain a college degree. These scholarships vary in requirements and are named in memory of past Kiwanians.

This year, over 60 students applied for the 8 scholarships, which totaled over $7,500. Scholarship recipients were: • Aiden Harvill – Ste phen A. Brown Scholarship • Mallie Braddy – Wil liam A. (Jinky) Hooker Scholarship • Alyssa Head – Tom P. Hutcherson Scholarship • Noah Varn – Kiwanis Club Family Scholarship • Brinley Miller — R.E. Ledford Scholarship • Payton McConnell – Cliff Poe Scholarship • Tulsi Patel – Dr. Lar ry Smith Scholarship • Hannah Nichols – J.R. Trippe Scholarship • Braylie Davis – Doro thy L. Warthen Scholarship These scholarships are available annually. Information about applying for these scholarships will be available in a few months.
