Salem Is Running Well
Daniel Salem has had a couple of good weeks competing in races around the area. He first ran in the Knotty Pine 5k in Swainsboro and then in the Savannah Mile.
In the 78th Annual Knotty Pine 5k, Salem was leading the race heading into the second mile, but was passed by eventual race winner John Buxton. Salem kept up his pace to take second place and was first place in the Masters division.
Salem also ran well down in Savannah last weekend. Against 55 other racers in the 40+ age division, Salem ran his way to a second place finish. With that run, he was one of just a handful that have won their division in the Savannah Publix 5k and finished in the top 3 of the Mile Club race. He came in second place in the race to Mark Powers, a member of the Atlanta Track Club.
Salem just turned 49, but is looking forward to running many more races this year. He wants to thank everyone who has supported him in his races and training.
