MY GOD IS REAL

Some say that living for the Lord is not about feeling, but I thank God that He is real because I can feel Him in my soul. It is something you can feel. You can see it on folks faces. We had started having devotion at our business and the worker’s attitudes and morale improved tremendously. When they left the devotional service they left with something they could feel. Something that is real! When we hold services at the nursing homes and prison the ones that attend seem to leave with a spiritual glow on their face. Their countenance has changed. They have left with something they can feel. Something that is real! Amen! When my dad would visit the nursing homes some would be totally non responsive, but when he would pray or read the scriptures they would come alive. Their countenance would change and they would respond in some way. The quickening power of the Holy Ghost caused them to respond, because the spirit of God was in their soul. There’s power in the word, in prayer and in the name of Jesus. It was something they could feel. Something that is real! Down through the years at my home church brother Urban Sanders would meet me coming down the aisle and he would grab my hand and say, “Brother, it’s real! It’s real!” Then about that time the spirit of God would move on him and he would spin like a top under the power of the Holy Ghost. It was real to him. It was something he could feel. He was not serving a dead god of stone, but rather he was serving the true and living God. A God we can feel. Can you say amen?
