Three men suspected of stealing over $130,000 worth of jewelry from Kay Jewelers in Vidalia have been arrested in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia.

The men, disguised with partially covered faces, entered Kay Jewelers at around 5:07 p.m. on February 5. One of the men pulled a crowbar out of his jacket and used it to smash a display, and the men stole multiple pieces of jewelry before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The store estimates that the value of the stolen jewelry is more than $130,000.

No one was hurt in the incident, and police assured the community that there was no ongoing threat to the area after the robbery.

The Vidalia Police Department probed the case and determined the suspects to be Jeffery Javontay Haynes, 33, of Savannah; Lawrence Walker Jr., 28, of Savannah; and Terrell Walker, 30, of Savannah.

Haynes and Walker were captured last week in South Carolina by the Mount Pleasant Police Department. Walker Jr. was arrested by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office on the same day.

The men were extradited to Toombs County and remain in the Toombs County Detention Center. The case remains active and under investigation.
