TCHS Soccer Falls In Elite 8

The Toombs County High School boys soccer team played a solid game against the Indians of Armuchee in the GHSA State Elite 8, but came up short as their season came to an end.

Toombs picked up a goal in the first half of the game from Alejandro Tinoco, but Armuchee also found the net one time in the first half. That sent the game to halftime, tied at 1-1.

In the second half of the contest, the Indians scored one more goal as they took a 2-1 lead over the Bulldogs. Toombs had some chances in the second half, but could not convert as the Armuchee goalkeeper came up with eight saves in the game. Armuchee came out on top with the win, 2- 1.

Toombs ends their season with a record of 15- 7.
