PAYH’s 32nd Annual Golf Classic Successfully Drives Support for Young Men

The fairways of the prestigious River Golf Club in North Augusta, S.C., buzzed with purpose as the 32nd Annual Paul Anderson Youth Home (PAYH) Golf Classic brought together community leaders and golf enthusiasts to champion a vital cause. This year's event successfully added to the over $7 million raised to support PAYH's impactful Christian residential program and on-campus school for young men ages 16-21 facing behavioral challenges, issues of discipline, anger, and depression in Vidalia, Ga.
PAYH offers these young men a pathway to healing and growth, and the annual Golf Classic serves as a cornerstone in funding this life-changing work. The event showcased a compelling blend of community engagement and a high-profile sporting event, all serving a significant charitable mission.
PAYH, a leading Georgia program dedicated to transforming the lives of young men facing behavioral challenges, successfully held its 32nd Annual Golf Classic at The River Golf Club. The event, sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities, brought together community members and philanthropists to support PAYH's vital mission.
Over its 32-year history, the Paul Anderson Golf Classic has raised more than $7 million, providing crucial funding for PAYH's Christian residential program and oncampus school for young men ages 16-21 struggling with behavioral problems, discipline issues, anger, and depression.
'This golf tournament continues to be a powerful testament to the community's dedicated commitment to our young men,' said Glenda Anderson Leonard, PAYH cofounder. 'The funds raised directly fuel our ability to provide hope and brighter futures for those in need.'
Participants enjoyed a challenging and scenic experience on The River Golf Club, an award-winning Jim Fazio-designed course consistently ranked among the Southeast's best, offering panoramic views of the Savannah River.
The day included breakfast, lunch, and snacks, culminating in an awards ceremony following the competition.

ABOUT PAUL ANDERSON YOUTH HOME Founded in 1961 by weightlifting world champion and Olympic gold medalist Paul Anderson and his wife, Glenda, the Paul Anderson Youth Home (PAYH) is a Christian residential program, with an on-campus school for young men between the ages of 16 and 21 struggling in the areas of behavioral problems, and issues of discipline, anger, and depression. We believe that Jesus Christ is our ultimate healer. PAYH is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). In addition to counseling and character development, PAYH offers an accelerated learning program enabling residents to graduate with a high school diploma and technical certifications.
