Kiwanis Names Spring BUG Celebration Students

Each semester, the Kiwanis Club of Vidalia provides selected students from Sally D. Meadows Elementary School with lunch from Chick-fil-A, a visit with the famous Chick-fil-A Cow, and extra time on the playground as a part of the Club’s Bringing Up Grades (BUG) Celebration. Though the celebration was moved inside to the gymnasium due to weather issues, students were still able to enjoy a time of food and fun on Wednesday, May 7.
Each semester, teachers select one student from their classes that have shown exemplary behavior or have improved their grades throughout the semester to take part in the fun. The students selected by their teachers were as follows: 2nd Grade: Kylie Johnson, Timothy Jones, Danaleyah Atkins, Maleigha Anthony, Zamora Durrence, Terrance Romero, Rylee Mitchell, Hilkiah Jones, Journee Powell 3rd Grade: Shyheim Cooper, Payton Perkins, Jeremiah Pittman, Jairius Lovett, Jaya Gillis, Denzel Roundtree, Hunter Allen, Zoey Beeks, Sy’Miere Mincey 4th Grade: Mason Edge, Samantha Perez, Camari Mathews, Emma Bell, Karina Weston, Erial Johnson, Saige Johnson, Lamar White 5th Grade: Molly Treasure, Kiera Thomas, Earets Mincey, Joslyn McLendon, Ben Ramsey, Nize’ Kinsey, Brielle Jones, Jakoby Harden, Zy’Jah Hooks, Justin Mosley, Mattix Holley The Kiwanis Club of Vidalia will honor more students next semester during their fall BUG Celebration.
