VHS Soccer Falls In First Round
The Vidalia High School soccer teams had their season come to an end in the first round of the GHSA State Playoffs last week. The Lady Indians fell to Swainsboro on Thursday on the road, and the boys lost to Putnam County at home on Friday.
Girls vs. Swainsboro
The Lady Indians couldn't get much going on the offensive side of the ball as they were held scoreless in the game against the Lady Tigers.
Swainsboro picked up a goal in the first half of the game to take the 1-0 lead into halftime. And in the second half, they added two more goals on the way to a 3-0 win over the Lady Indians.
Boys vs. Putnam
For the boys, it was a close game, but VHS fell just short to the War Eagles of Putnam County. Vidalia scored three goals in the game, but it was not enough as the War Eagles took the win, 4-3.
